Bonito Peruvian Eatery brings together two places its founders know intimately: Peru and the Northern Rivers. Created by two Limeño chefs who made the region their home, the restaurant takes the flavours and traditions they grew up with and combines them with the fresh produce available from the surrounding coast and hinterland.

Peruvian food itself tells a fascinating story. Centuries of cultural influence have woven Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Chinese traditions into the country's Indigenous culinary foundations, while Peru's Pacific coastline, Andes and Amazon provide an extraordinary diversity of ingredients. Bonito draws on that heritage to create food that can feel both unfamiliar and instantly approachable.

Ceviche is naturally one of the signatures, bringing together fresh fish, citrus, chilli and traditional accompaniments. Other dishes explore seafood, meat, vegetables and Peruvian classics such as lomo saltado, with vegetarian and gluten-free choices helping make the menu accessible to different diners.

The drinks continue the journey. Pisco, Peru's famous grape spirit, features in the cocktail offering, alongside Australian wines and other drinks suited to the restaurant's relaxed, contemporary style.
