Set amongst subtropical rainforest near Uki at the foothills of Wollumbin, the purpose-built Northern Rivers retreat centre welcomes facilitators and groups delivering programs across yoga and movement, meditation and mindfulness, wellness, breathwork, sound healing, personal development and other transformative practices.

Accommodation comprises 20 Eco Deluxe ensuite rooms for up to 40 guests in twin-share or couple configurations, allowing an entire group to stay together within the retreat environment.

At the heart of Gymea is The Octagon, a 220-square-metre multipurpose hall with impressive acoustics and covered verandahs. Its flexible design supports everything from yoga, meditation and teachings to sound work, workshops, performances and group activities.

The wider property provides the infrastructure required for a complete residential retreat, including a commercial kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, rainforest grounds and a resort-style magnesium pool. The Healing Spa adds sauna, steam room, magnesium plunge pool, hydrotherapy spa and treatment spaces for guests attending retreats at Gymea.

Nature is integral rather than decorative. Rainforest, walking opportunities, quiet places for contemplation and views towards Wollumbin create a genuine sense of separation from everyday life, despite the property being only minutes from Uki.
