Holy Ship Restaurant & Bar takes waterfront dining literally. Instead of simply looking across the marina, guests step aboard two restored 1970s timber fishing trawlers, Austral Eagle and FV Havana, permanently moored at Marina Mirage in Main Beach.

The vessels underwent an extensive 18-month restoration, transforming working pieces of Australian maritime history into a character-filled restaurant and bar while retaining the timber, decks and unmistakable atmosphere that make dining aboard them so different.

Seafood naturally takes centre stage. Fresh produce sourced from Australian waters includes oysters, prawns and trawler bugs, alongside seafood platters, share plates and a broader menu of meat and vegetarian dishes. A full-service bar keeps the maritime mood flowing with cocktails, wine and cold beer, while uninterrupted Broadwater views provide the backdrop.

Different areas across the upper and lower decks allow guests to find their own way to enjoy Holy Ship, whether that's a leisurely lunch, oysters and drinks in the afternoon, dinner beneath the lights or a sunset session watching boats move across the water.

The two trawlers also create a memorable setting for celebrations and private events. Birthdays, engagements, corporate gatherings and special occasions can be tailored around long-table dining, cocktails or stand-up events, with private use of one or both vessels available.

Family-run and deliberately relaxed, Holy Ship isn't trying to disguise the fact you're dining aboard a boat — that's the whole point. Timber beneath your feet, sea air around you and the Broadwater directly outside turn a meal into an experience that's difficult to replicate anywhere else on the Gold Coast.
