Founded on the Gold Coast in 2016, Lights Out And Dance celebrates a decade of dancing in 2026. What began as a simple idea has grown into what the team calls its “Me-Time Movement” — a community connected through music, movement, fun, and a shared appreciation for having an hour that's entirely their own.

The concept is brilliantly uncomplicated.

There are no routines to remember, no choreography to follow, no mirrors, and no pressure to perform. The lights go down, the music goes up and everyone dances in their own way and at their own pace for an hour.

While anyone can enjoy the experience, Lights Out And Dance has particularly found its tribe among adults aged 35+ who miss the freedom and energy of their clubbing days. It's the dancefloor feeling without needing a night out, a midweek opportunity to switch off from work, family responsibilities and the endless mental to-do list.,
