Behind the Art Deco façade of M|Arts Precinct lies one of Murwillumbah's most distinctive creative spaces, a vast industrial warehouse alive with artists, makers, galleries, food, music and ideas.

Rather than simply viewing finished work on a gallery wall, visitors can step closer to the creative process. M|Arts is home to 28 artists, makers and creatives, with working studios and micro galleries providing opportunities to meet the people behind the work, watch them create and purchase original pieces directly from their spaces.

Painting, ceramics, jewellery and other creative disciplines sit alongside artisan retail and specialty food businesses, creating a precinct where browsing rarely follows a predictable path.

Creativity also extends to the calendar. Exhibitions, openings and hands-on art workshops are joined by an active program of live music and community events, including regular Friday Socials that bring together open studios, food, drinks and local performers.

Food is part of the experience too. M|Arts brings together dining and artisan producers, with Bistro Livi, Ben's Patisserie and Kat Harvey Cheese among the businesses currently calling the precinct home.

The precinct also incorporates the historic Regent Cinema, further strengthening its place within Murwillumbah's cultural landscape.
