Bold Plant-Based Food, Standout Cocktails and Byron Done Differently
No Bones started with an idea that remains refreshingly simple: choosing to eat plants for the night should never feel like choosing the lesser option.
Founded in Byron Bay in 2018 by Tahlia and Yasmina, the Fletcher Street restaurant creates bold, flavour-driven plant-based food designed to appeal well beyond a purely vegan crowd.
The seasonal menu moves through colourful share plates, satisfying mains and desserts, using local and organic produce wherever possible. The kitchen takes a considered approach to ingredients too, using organic olive and high-oleic sunflower oils and keeping heavily processed plant-based substitutes to a minimum.
Then there are the drinks. Creative cocktails sit alongside Australian wines, beers and spirits, making the bar as much a part of the No Bones experience as the food.
The setting captures the social side of Byron dining. Just 100 metres from Main Beach, the restaurant combines cosy indoor spaces with a leafy alfresco terrace and outdoor booths, creating an easy backdrop for dinner after the beach, date nights or long evenings with friends.
No Bones also hosts weddings, birthdays, private dinners and corporate events, with partial and exclusive venue hire available.
Behind it all is a genuine commitment to reducing environmental impact, from composting green waste and repurposing kitchen scraps to working with producers who share the restaurant's values.
Vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian or simply hungry, at No Bones, the food comes first.
