Bowls, Good Food, Live Music and the Easy-Going Spirit of Pottsville
Some places become part of the rhythm of a town. Pottsville Beach Sports Club has been doing exactly that since 1984.
Set on Tweed Coast Road, the club brings dining, drinks, bowls, entertainment and community life together in one relaxed destination where locals, families and holidaymakers are equally welcome.
At Wok Chop n Grill, the menu moves comfortably between familiar club favourites, pizzas and parmis and a full selection of Asian dishes. Add cold beer, cocktails, the beer garden and plenty of room to settle in, and an afternoon visit can easily stretch into the evening.
Bowls remains at the heart of the club. Two quality greens host competitive and social bowls, while barefoot bowls makes getting involved easy even if you've never picked up a bowl before. The club's newer synthetic green also allows for more reliable year-round play.
There's plenty happening away from the greens too. Bingo, trivia, raffles, live music and special events give the week a regular rhythm, while fenced children's spaces and a play centre help make the club an easy option for families.
Pottsville Beach Sports Club is also a versatile function venue, accommodating everything from birthdays and engagements to wakes, corporate gatherings and children's celebrations across its pergolas, beer garden, restaurant and marquee.
More than somewhere to eat or play bowls, it's exactly what a good coastal club should be, a place where the community keeps bumping into itself.
