Watersports Guru turns the Tweed Coast's ocean, reefs, creeks and mangroves into an adventure playground. Founded by local ocean lover Tim Jack Adams in 2009, the team runs guided experiences from Fingal Head and Kingscliff, including snorkelling with turtles at Cook Island, whale watching, ocean wildlife tours, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, kayak fishing and kids' adventures. With small-group experiences, knowledgeable guides and a strong connection to the marine environment, it's all about getting outside, discovering the fun and seeing the Tweed from the water.

From Turtles and Whales to Mangroves and Paddles, Discover the Fun
On the Tweed Coast, adventure can mean swimming alongside a turtle, watching a humpback breach offshore or quietly paddling beneath the mangroves.
Watersports Guru has been connecting people with this marine playground since 2009. Founded by Gold Coast and Tweed local Tim Jack Adams, the business has grown from a passion for watersports into a diverse collection of ocean and flat-water experiences built around fun, nature and discovery.
Ocean adventures depart from the Watersports Guru boatshed at Fingal Head. Guided snorkelling tours explore the waters surrounding Cook Island, where green, hawksbill and loggerhead turtles can be encountered among coral and other marine life. Seasonal whale watching and Ocean Odyssey experiences head further offshore in search of the wildlife moving along the Tweed and Gold Coast coastline.
At Kingscliff, the pace changes on Cudgen Creek. Kayak tours weave through wetlands and mangroves, stand-up paddleboard lessons introduce newcomers to SUP, while kayak fishing and Mindfulness in the Mangroves offer completely different ways to experience the water. Junior Adventure Guru programs get younger explorers outside and involved too.
Across every experience, the idea is wonderfully simple: spend less time watching nature from the shore and more time becoming part of it.
