There aren't many ways to experience Byron Bay quite like arriving on Tyagarah Beach on horseback.

Zephyr Horses is a coastal horse ranch tucked beyond the Arts & Industry Estate, opposite Elements of Byron. From here, riders head into native tea tree forest before following trails towards some of the quieter landscapes surrounding Byron Bay.

The signature Forest to Beach experience combines subtropical woodland with riding along Tyagarah Beach, while Forest Trail tours explore deeper into the native vegetation. Group rides remain intentionally small, with beach experiences capped at eight riders and forest tours at ten. Private rides provide another option for couples, families and riders wanting an experience tailored more closely to them.

Then there's the Pub Lunch Tour, because apparently the only thing better than riding through the forest is finishing at the North Byron Hotel for lunch and a drink.

Zephyr's world now extends well beyond trail riding. Adult riding clubs combine horsemanship, horse care and riding skills, while younger riders can access private rides, pony experiences and selected children's programs. The newer Zen at Zephyr program explores another side of the horse-human connection through equine wellness and guided experiences alongside the herd.

Whether it's someone's first time in the saddle or another chapter in a lifelong love of horses, Zephyr creates an experience where the horse, landscape and adventure are all part of the story.
