Mark your diary for Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 October 2025 as Savour The Tweed returns with 35 irresistible food and drink events celebrating provenance, creativity and connection. Co-curated by Christine Manfield and local food advocate Amy Colli, the program features dynamic collaborations between Tweed food heroes and culinary stars including Bundjalung chef Mindy Woods,
Martin Boetz (Shortgrain), Frank Camorra (Movida) and Belinda Jeffery. From grass-roots growers to award-winning chefs, this will be a feast for all senses - check out the highlights guide and get booking your tickets!
Culinary Collaborations & Fresh Farm Flavours
The festival opens with the Tweed Taste Trail at Murwillumbah
Farmers Market – expect tastings, live cooking demos and market
vibes. At Raven Place Farm, Harvest & Handmade offers a farm walk,
gyoza-making and condiments to take home. Pasture to Plate – An
Artisan Pasta Evening at Woodland Valley Farm – features pasta-
making, dinner and Italian wines. There's also the regular food and
produce markets at Kingscliff and Tyalgum, bringing street eats,
artisan wares and community warmth.
For a great highlight collaboration, don't miss Thai Feast in The
Tweed as Martin Boetz join Farm & Co Restaurant for a vibrant
shared lunch using organic farm produce.
Connecting with Culture and Family Fun
Walking Together with Mindy Woods and Christine Manfield will be
a powerful dinner event blending First Nations and Indian flavours
with song, dance and storytelling. Book in for the Gidjuum Gulganyi
Walk event, a four-day hike through Gondwana-era rainforest with a
campfire dinner by Mindy Woods to start your adventures.
Young foodies can enjoy a fun pizza-making class at Hosanna
Farmstay, meeting friendly farmyard favourites while creating the
perfect slice.
Location, Location!
Brunch by the Platform transforms Murwillumbah Railway Station into
a leafy breakfast spot with pastries, fruit, coffee and live music, set
right at the start of the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Golden Hour on the
River is a sunset experience with Tweed Eco Cruises and Chef Wal
Foster, serving up mud crab banh mi, a Bush Icecreamery dessert,
artisan cheeses and acoustic music from Birren Slabb.
Masterclasses & Cooking Demos
Seafood legend Steven Snow shares expertise at Snowy’s Seafood
Masterclass while Samantha Gowing presents Food as Medicine
at Husk Farm Distillery, blending wellness with local flavours. Cane
Country Taste Makers at Condong explores sugar-to-rum with
tastings, cocktails and Bar Heather snacks.
Coffee Culture
Coffee lovers are in for a treat at Bastion Lane Espresso Bar in Uki,
where local legends Zeta Grealy, of Zeta's Coffee, and Bastion Lane's
Gary Wall collaborate for From Bean to Cup - The Farmer to the
Roaster and For the Love of Coffee at Old Quarter Coffee Roasters
offers cupping, tasting and croissants.
Sip Well, Speak Easy
Cheese, Clay & Culture with Kat Harvey Cheese, Grit Ceramics and
Caldera Brewing & Blending Co combines cheese and beer pairings,
pottery demos and a handmade tasting plate while The Natural
World: Terroir & Taste is an intimate wine and small plate pairing
event at the Natural Wine Shop & Bar in Burringbar, led by owner
Bron Harrison and Italian chef Daniela Maiorano.
The Speak Easy Secret Supper Club at Tweed Regional Museum
pairs prohibition-era cocktails with canapés and an exhibition tour
and for Sips & Snacks at Rob Roy Deli & Drinks, meet winemaker
Kyle Goodwin and sample Granite Belt wines with deli bites at
Cabarita Beach.
Delicious Conversations
Food Sovereignty will be a thought-provoking panel on regenerative
farming, caring for Country and ethical food systems with a
fascinating group of panellists and, in Burringbar, Conversations
& Cake with Belinda Jeffery and Christine Manfield promises tea,
homemade bakes and inspiring food writing insights.
World Class – Globally Inspired, Locally Grown
An Iberian Dinner Party at Potager brings Portuguese and Spanish
chefs together for a paella-filled feast while Arabian Nights at Black
Drop Cafe will serve generous Middle Eastern plates. At Cabarita,
Mediterranean Island Lunch offers a Sardinian-style seafood menu of
focaccia, fregola and lemon sorbet.
Dinner Parties & Long Lunches
Tweed River House hosts Spring Tides & Terroir, a six-course lunch
paired with Leeuwin Estate wines and at Tropical Fruit World, Fire &
Forage take a seat under festoon lights for wild game and seafood
flavours over flame. Rum Parlour at Husk Farm Distillery pairs
cocktails with a fine-dining menu by Jason Saxby. Taste the Wild at
Ventura Brewing matches foraged flavours with craft brews, while
Wood-Fired Seafood Long Table Lunch with Steven Snow showcases
wild-catch seafood cooked over fruitwood.

Time to Party
Celebrate good food, sips and company at Wollumbin Sunset
Cocktails with the Apex Dining crew with views, signature drinks,
canapés and live music. The grand Savour The Tweed finale, Caldera
Celebrations at Plantation House, will be a family-friendly Sunday
session with chef David Moyle, DJs, food stalls, kids’ activities and
breathtaking Tweed views.
